Take home a piece of history from the former Saint Patrick’s High School

Monday, Oct. 19, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting former Saint Patrick’s High School students and other interested residents to preserve the memory of this Halifax Peninsula institution.   With demolition of the former Saint Patrick’s High School located at 6067 Quinpool Road in full swing, the municipality and its contractor have set aside a few hundred bricks to serve as lasting memorabilia for residents.

Monday, Oct. 19, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting former Saint Patrick’s High School students and other interested residents to preserve the memory of this Halifax Peninsula institution.
 
With demolition of the former Saint Patrick’s High School located at 6067 Quinpool Road in full swing, the municipality and its contractor have set aside a few hundred bricks to serve as lasting memorabilia for residents.

The building is being demolished as part of the ongoing process to prepare the site for future disposal and development.
 
Today, Oct. 19 and Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., the bricks will be placed on pallets for residents to pick up for free just outside of the site construction fencing along Windsor Street. Please note the bricks are available on a first come, first serve basis.
