Monday, Oct. 19, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that work is continuing today to extend the natural gas main on the Bedford Highway between 50 Bedford Hwy. and Bayview Road in Halifax.

The pipe installation and subsequent restoration is expected to take approximately three weeks. There will be lane drops in place while this work is underway and crews will maintain one lane of traffic in each direction at all times. No work will take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Motorists should expect delays in the area and are asked to use alternative routes, if possible. Heritage Gas and the municipality regret any inconvenience this work may cause.
