Thank You For Your Support! NO EXCUSES!

Happy Thursday!  Any big plans for the weekend?  I’m working tonight, running the Elite Fitness WOD and then running the Life Change Yellowknife program and I have a PT client.  I also have LCY on Friday night and Sunday evening and I’m running the WOD Saturday morning and I have two PT clients, all before noon. I’m starting to get really busy at the gym and I love it.  I have my fastball league championships this weekend too, so it should be a good one. Earlier this week I shared with you that I was super stressed out and that I was struggling with my eating again.  I got a lot of positive support and feedback from you guys via email, Twitter and Facebook, and I want to thank you for that! I also got a lot of comments about how people appreciated my honesty and openness about my recent struggles.  This is actually what the blog started out as, me venting and ranting and complaining about how much trouble I was having with my workouts and eating habits.  Three years later I’ve got a fairly good grasp on my eating and my fitness is better than its ever been, so there hasn’t been a lot of bitching and complaining but I realize that I need to be more honest and open about everything with you, my awesome readers. Life isn’t always hunky-dory over here all the time.  Yes, I’m very fortunate that I’ve got an amazing woman who loves me and a fantastic family who cares about me, but like everyone else in the world, life isn’t easy.  Before I decided to go out on my and chase my dreams of owning a gym, we were trying to buy a house and now that my income has been cut in ¾, that’s had to be put to the back burner. So now we have the fun of trying to find a place to rent in a city whose rental availability is below 5% and of which 1% takes dogs.  As of mid-September, if we don’t find a place to live, we will be homeless.  Fun, right?  Then throw on the stress of what I was talking about earlier this week, it makes for an excuse to eat cheeseburgers… Wait… No it doesn’t!!!! After posting on Tuesday, I decided that I was going to make Wednesday my bitch! I trained a PT client at 8 am and when we were done I decided to do a quick chest workout. I didn’t want to, but I did it anyway.  It wasn’t anything spectacular, just 5 sets of dumbbell bench press doing 10 reps and building up to 80lbs.  At the time, I hated my life because it was the last thing I wanted to do, but it set the tone for the rest of the day!  I ended up being super productive, designing some new business cards for Just Fitness, pretty much building an entire website for the Life Change Yellowknife Program, making business calls, doing some work and job research and I KILLED the WOD at the gym.  And after all of that I decided to do yoga! (If you know anything about me, you know that yoga scares the shit out of me and I’m not a giant fan). What a day! So far today has been great too. I’ve been productive and I’m excited for what the future brings.  It may be an uncertain future right now, and yes, there’s going to be some major bumps in the road, but it’s all about how you steer through those bumps and what you make of what life throws at you....
