L-A: I love alliteration. I do. I’ll even go so far as to call it my favourite literary device. But when this showed up in my inbox today, I was not having any of it:
What in the who what wear, now? DIY dip dye denim? Really? Your alliteration is aces, but I’ll be damned if I approve of this trend. Let’s take a closer look at what Dries Van Noten is doing to denim:
Cute jacket. I’d even dig the denim if it was one colour or the other. But bleached out like that? I shudder to think. Remember when I said I couldn’t pay hundreds for coloured jeans? Well, I’d be all over that before I’d pay a dime for dip dye denim.
At least Who What Wear and P.S. I Made This are encouraging you to do it on the cheap, but in my opinion, they shouldn’t encourage it at all. I like to live by the motto, “just because you can, doesn’t mean you should” and this definitely falls under that category.
To keep myself from falling into dip dyed despair, I’m going to cheer myself up by taking note that Pretty Little Liars started a new season last night. Time for a summer of shows for teenagers! I am all over that.
I mean, how can you go wrong with a murder mystery and shirtless boys who aren’t actually boys so it’s okay and not at all creepy/illegal that you’re calling them Pretend Boyfriends? You can’t.

p.p.s. AFW is really kicking off tonight with Emerging designers show. Join Ben and maybe Jill and I for a scotch at the Loose Cannon pre-show. I sort of like the idea of being a lady who drinks scotch (even if I so far do not like scotch). And again tomorrow for cheap beer and shopping at Mills (we are classy).
