Three Arrested for Slashing Tires

Release:

Three people face charges in connection with a number of vehicles that
had their tires slashed in Dartmouth early this morning.
At 2:37 a.m., police responded to Athorpe Drive after receiving a
report of tires being slashed at that location. Based on the information
provided by witnesses, patrol officers arrested two suspects. An HRP K9
Unit tracked down a third suspect who was arrested and had to be taken
to hospital for treatment of a minor injury that occurred during his
arrest. Officers located nine vehicles that had been damaged at the
initial location but several reports have been received this morning
about similar incidents in the general area.

A 20-year-old man and two male youths, aged 13 and 14, all face charges
of property damage in connection with the original incident and are
scheduled to appear in court at a later date. Once investigators have
had a chance to review the new complaints, a decision will be made about
additional charges.
