Traffic collision on Peggy’s Cove Road sends four to hospital

At 9:17 p.m. on May 25, Halifax District RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision in West Dover, a small community a few minutes West of Peggy’s Cove on Hwy. 333.

The vehicle was a small hatchback and was occupied by six people. The driver lost control on a series of sharp turns, crossed the centre line and struck a utility pole. The driver and one other passenger were not injured, however the other four occupants of the vehicle required transport to hospital via EHS for moderate to serious injuries.

The RCMP contacted Nova Scotia Power to inspect the utility pole damage. Police remained on scene resulting in the road being closed for several hours.​ Peggy’s Cove Rd. was​ re-opened to traffic​ just before midnight.

The investigation is ongoing.
