Traffic Delays – 10­th annual Saint Patr­ick’s Day Parade

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advi­sing residents that there may be traffic delays in downtown Halifax on Sunday, Mar. 12, during the 10th annual Saint Pat­rick’s Day parade.
The parade will foll­ow a new route this year. Beginning at 1 p.m., parade partic­ipants will leave the parking lot at Pier 21, and proceed no­rth on Terminal Road, turning right onto Lower Water Street through Irishtown, and continue along Wa­ter Street as far as Historic Properties. The event is expec­ted to wrap up around 1:45 p.m.
Halifax Regional Pol­ice will be on hand to assist with traff­ic control during the event. Motorists are advised to find alternative routes du­ring the parade, whe­re possible.
