Traffic Delays – 10th annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade

Friday, March 10, 2017 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that there may be traffic delays in downtown Halifax on Sunday, Mar. 12, during the 10th annual Saint Patrick’s Day parade.

The parade will follow a new route this year. Beginning at 1 p.m., parade participants will leave the parking lot at Pier 21, and proceed north on Terminal Road, turning right onto Lower Water Street through Irishtown, and continue along Water Street as far as Historic Properties. The event is expected to wrap up around 1:45 p.m.

Halifax Regional Police will be on hand to assist with traffic control during the event. Motorists are advised to find alternative routes during the parade, where possible.

The annual Saint Patrick’s Day parade is organized by the Charitable Irish Society. For more information on this year’s event, visit hwww.halifaxstpatricksdayparade.ca.
