Transportation Update from HRCE and Stock Transportation

The Halifax Regional Centre for Education and Stock Transportation recognize the issues that families have faced this school start.

We apologize for the frustration our routing issues have caused.

We are working together to identify and address these issues to ensure all students arrive to school safely and on time. We will continue to re-route and update student data to ensure it meets the needs of each family.

We are making progress on this work every day but we will need a little more time before we can expect all 1,400 routes to be finalized.

To accelerate this work, Stock is bringing in additional routing experts to help re-route as student data is updated and is also adding additional customer service staff to answer and return calls. HRCE has reorganized its call system to prioritize and respond to all parent concerns each day and has also developed a process to update student data to ensure it meets the needs of each family.

Our number one priority is to ensure all students are routed to arrive at school safely and on time and we are working diligently to make this happen.
