TRESemmé Dry Shampoo

Short Presents, is introducing a new series: Product Reviews

The series will provide an explanation of a specific product, and its purpose, while then providing a consumer review. Find out what gets the Short Presents Stamp of Approval, so you can assess whether to buy or not to buy. Products will be tried, tested, and ultimately labelled Buy or Pass. I do not intend to offend anyone, the opinions expressed here are simply my own, and are just suggestions to save you from wasting your money.

The first product in this series is TRESemmé‘s Dry Shampoo.

The TRESemmé dry shampoo product line promises to “revive style between washes” so you don’t need to wash your hair everyday or directly after a workout; allowing you the option to post-pone washing your hair, or simply removing access oils, but how does it actually hold up?

The Fresh Start Volumizing Shampoo is said to “Transform limp, lifeless locks into healthy, full-bodied hair when you skip a shampoo. The Mineral Clay and Citrus formula removes oil and odor that weighs hair down, so you can have instant salon-quality volume without a drop of water“.

TRESemmé Dry Shampoo

  • How it works:
  • Formulated with Mineral Clay, seeks out and absorbs oil, injecting hair with instant salon-gorgeous volume
  • Citrus Extracts including formula, eliminate odor, infusing hair with a fresh, clean scent
  • Using Fresh Start to revive style instead of a shampoo helps preserve color and keep it looking fresh
  • How To Use:
  1. Shake vigorously before use and in between spray bursts for best results.
  2. Lift sections of dry hair and spray lightly at roots using short bursts, holding 8-12 inches from head and leave-in for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Use fingertips to massage through hair and to distribute product evenly.
  4. Use throughout the day to absorb oil and refresh your style as needed.

IF CLOGGING OCCURS, REMOVE NOZZLE AND RINSE NOZZLE UNDER WARM WATER. THEN RE-ATTACH NOZZLE.

Verdict: PASS

Although the TRESemmé Dry Shampoo line is very inexpensive, I would still give it a pass.

The Dry Shampoo spray left my hair worse than when I started; the product made my hair sticky, and white. I had to rewash my hair immediately because there was no way I was letting that hair see the light of day. I felt the product was too heavy in my hair, and weighed it down, not to mention the white sticky substance was impossible to get rid of with simply “massaging”.

I’ve used other more expensive Dry Shampoo’s in the past, and I was very excited to learn that there was a more affordable line available in drug stores, but this one is a no-go folks

I haven’t tried the foam product yet, so I can’t speak for that one, but I’d be interested to learn what that is like as well. I have full bangs, and after a typical action packed day my bangs are less than presentable. Have you tried either of these products? What are your thoughts?

Sincerely,
sp
