Two arrested after police dismantle indoor grow operation, Lakeville, N.S.

Police dismantled a sophisticated indoor grow operation and arrested two men after a home and business were searched in Kings County yesterday. On Friday, March 27th at approximately 12 p.m.

Police dismantled a sophisticated indoor grow operation and arrested two men after a home and business were searched in Kings County yesterday.

On Friday, March 27th at approximately 12 p.m.

, officers with the Valley Integrated Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a home and business on Woodville Rd. As a result of the search at the business, police seized over 400 marijuana plants, grow operation equipment and an unsafely stored firearm. A 43-year-old man and a 33-year-old man both from Kings County were arrested at the scene without incident.

The 43-year-old man was released from custody on conditions and is facing charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Unsafe Storage of a Firearm. The 33-year-old man was released from custody on conditions and is facing charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Production of a Scheduled Substance. Both men will be appearing in Kentville Provincial Court on June 1st, 2015 at 9:30 a.m.

The investigation is continuing.
