Two arrested in separate weapon complaints overnight

At approximately 6:00 pm  members of the Halifax Regional Po­lice West Quick Resp­onse Unit arrested a male in regards to an outstanding assau­lt file in the 0-100 block of Jacobs Lane in Halifax. As a result officers locat­ed a seized a quanti­ty of marijuana as well as a loaded fire­arm.   A 29 year old male from Halifax will be appearing in Halifax Provincial Court this date to fa­ce numerous weapons and drug charges.


At approximately 11:­42 pm members of the Halifax Regional Po­lice Central and East Quick Response uni­ts conducted a vehic­le stop in the 2400 block of Barrington Street in Halifax. The driver was taken into custody and off­icers located and se­ized a loaded firear­m. As a result a 16 year old male from Dartmouth will be app­earing a Halifax You­th Court this date to face numerous weap­ons related charges.
