Two Charged With Assault After Main Avenue Bruhaha

Last night at approx. 9:10 PM members of the Halifax Regional Police responded to a disturbance in the 0-100 Block of Main Ave. in Halifax.

Last night at approx. 9:10 PM members of the Halifax Regional Police responded to a disturbance in the 0-100 Block of Main Ave. in Halifax.

Information had been received that a firearm may have been discharged during the incident and that one of the subjects involved  may have been in possession of a machete. Members of the HRP / RCMP Integrated Investigation Section attended the scene and conducted the investigation. It was later determined that a fight had occurred between several parties. No weapons were recovered. Two adult victims located  were treated by EHS at the scene and released. Two adult males, both 31 years of age from the Halifax area have been charged with assault, threats and weapon related offences.
