RCMP have charged two males after traffic stop in Cole Harbour.

Shortly after 5:00 p.m., RCMP received a call from the public that a passenger pointed a firearm out the window of a vehicle.

Police located the suspect vehicle and conducted a high risk traffic stop on the Forest Hills extension. Officers arrested the occupants of the vehicle. Traffic was delayed for awhile as officers ensured the safety of the public and police. The arrested parties were transported to the Cole Harbour Detachment. Two cap guns were seized and the males had removed the red tips from the guns to make them look real.

Two males, 18 and 19 years old, are facing Criminal Code weapon charges and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on August 6th. The matter remains under investigation.
