Ingonish Beach RCMP arrest two Ingonish residents for drug trafficking. On the evening of Friday June 27th at approximately 8:00 p.m., Ingonish Beach RCMP executed a search warrant at an Ingonish residence in Northern Cape Breton.

On the evening of Friday June 27th at approximately 8:00 p.m., Ingonish Beach RCMP executed a search warrant at an Ingonish residence in Northern Cape Breton.

Approximately 10 grams of marijuana, some cash and drug paraphernalia were located and seized in the residence.

A 25-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were arrested without incident and are both facing a charge of Possession of Marijuana for the Purpose of Trafficking. They were released from police custody and will be appearing in Ingonish Provincial Court on September 11th, 2014. The investigation is continuing.

The RCMP is committed to enforcing drug laws to their fullest extent, however we require the assistance of the public to eliminate harmful drug trafficking from taking place in our community.
