Two men charged after search on Friday

Two men face drug trafficking charges after a search in Halifax by the Integrated Drug Unit and West Quick Response Unit.

At 7:30 p.m., a 27-year-old man was arrested for possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking after members of theDrug Unit and West Quick Response Unitconducted a traffic stop on Feldspar Crescent in Halifax and located cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

A short time later, a search warrant wasexecuted at a residence on Indigo Walk in Halifax where a 47-year-old man was arrested without incident. As a result of the search, quantities of psilocybin mushrooms, MDMA, cannabis resin, cannabis marijuana, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia were seized.

Keith Edward Martell and Edward Morris Munroe, both from Halifax, are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today.
