 Pedestrian – Vehicle MVA. At approximately 8:00 am police responded to a call of a 44 year old male that was struck by a vehicle as he was crossing the street at Dunbrack St and Main Ave in Halifax. The pedestrian was treated in hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle, a 72 year old female, was issued a Summary Offence Ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk

Pedestrian – Vehicle MVA. At approximately 1:30 pm police responded to a call of a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle at the intersection of King St and Ochterloney St in Dartmouth. A 72 year old female was treated at hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle, a 44 female, was issued a Summary Offence Ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Weapons Complaint. East Division Patrol Officers arrested a man with a replica gun this afternoon in Dartmouth. At 2:52 p.m. police responded to Catherine Street after receiving a complaint about a man who was believed to be in possession of a handgun and was threatening to harm himself. Officers located the man a few minutes later and arrested him, during which time a replica handgun was seized. The man was transported to hospital for assessment under the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act. The investigation is in the early stages and no decision has been made regarding charges.
