Two People Arrested in Assault Investigation

From HRPD: Two people have been arrested in connection with an assault which took place on Sunday in Halifax.

Two people have been arrested in connection with an assault which took
place on Sunday in Halifax.

Police responded to the 200 block of Willett Street at 3:33 p.m. and
located a 37-year-old man in his apartment suffering from severe head
injuries. The victim’s vehicle was stolen in the incident and
recovered in Montreal on Monday afternoon. Investigators assigned to the
HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section arrested a male youth
and a female youth yesterday on Robie Street in Truro without incident.
A subsequent search of the male youth resulted in a quantity of
Morphine, Oxycodone, Ecstasy and Marijuana being seized.

A 17-year-old male youth from Timberlea faces charges of accessory
after the fact of attempt murder, drug possession as well as theft and
possession. He is scheduled to appear in Halifax Youth Court today. A
16-year-old female youth faces charges of theft and possession and is
scheduled to appear in Youth Court at a later date.

Investigators are seeking an additional suspect in this matter and the
investigation is on-going.
