Two Stabbed At Sackville Bus Terminal

Two people were stabbed after an incident at a bus terminal in Lower Sackville yesterday.

 

Release:
September 18, 2011, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) . . . Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are investigating a stabbing which occurred last night in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia.
On September 17, 2011 at 8:06 p.m., RCMP responded to a disturbance at the Metro Transit terminal on Cobequid Road.  A man was walking by the bus stop when he was struck by a beer bottle.  An argument ensued and several other people became involved.  During the altercation, two people were stabbed.  A 20-year-old received serious life threatening injury and remains in hospital.  The second victim, a 32-year-old male, suffered non-life threatening injuries. He was also sprayed with an irritant.  He has since been treated and released from hospital.
The Halifax RCMP/HRP Integrated General Investigative Section (GIS) is investigating.  Police are looking for three suspects.  They are described as:
Suspect 1:
White male, approximately 18 years old, brown hair shaved on sides, with no facial hair.  He was wearing a red shirt and blue jeans at the time of the incident.
Suspect 2:
White male, approximately 18 years old, no facial hair, wearing a white hoodie with Aero 1987 on the front, A's hat, jean shorts and white tennis shoes.
Suspect 3:
White male, approximately 18 years old, no facial hair, wearing a plaid shirt.
Police are asking anyone with information about this or any other incident to come forward.  People are asked to contact any RCMP office, Halifax Regional Police, or Crime Stoppers anonymously anytime at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca.  Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced.  If police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash award from $50 – $2000.
