Shortly after 2 p.m., officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 2400 block of Creighton Street. Officers seized a quantity of hydro morphine, cash and drug paraphernalia. Two women and a man were arrested at the scene without incident.
 
An 81-year-old man, a 27-year-old woman and a 26-year-old woman, all from Halifax, are each charged with one count of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking. They were released from custody and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date.
 
Drug activity often involves violence that puts innocent citizens at risk and is detrimental to the overall safety of our communities. The HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit investigates complaints and targets people involved in the purchase and sale of drugs. Citizens are encouraged to report drug activity to police at 490-5020.
