Unwanted person call results in charges – Halifax

Halifax District RCMP responded to a call of an unwanted person yesterday which resulted in an arrest of a woman from Hubley.

At 9 a.m. yesterday morning, Halifax District RCMP responded to a residence on St. Margaret Bay Rd. in regards to a call of an unwanted person.​ Prior to police arrival, the female suspect had broken the window of a door to the residence and as members arrived, she was getting into the passenger side of a vehicle parked just outside the home.​ Members arrested the woman who resisted and bit a member’s hand.​

The 38-year-old woman was later released on conditions and is facing charges of:

  • ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​Assault Peace Officer.
  • ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​Resisting Arrest.
  • ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​Mischief.​

She is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at 10 a.m. on March 26.
