RCMP would like to advise that the results of a mechanical inspection on the bus were provided to the RCMP.

A motor vehicle inspection performed by the Motor Carrier Division of Nova Scotia Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal was completed on Monday.

The preliminary findings indicated that mechanical failure was not a contributing factor in this crash. Eight passengers remain in hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

On Sunday July 13th, a tour bus carrying 21 passengers rolled into the ditch, landing on its side near Neil’s Harbour. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
