Update: Armed and Barricaded man faces several charges

At 10:45 a.m., Cole Harbour RCMP and Halifax Regional Police responded to an incident at a residence on Osprey Way in Lawrencetown where a lone male barricaded himself inside with a firearm. Responding officers immediately secured the area around the home and closed the street to traffic.
 
Troy Learning, 43, of Lawrencetown, has been charged with the following offences:
– Using a Firearm in the Commission of an Offence
– Careless Use of a Firearm
– Unsafe Storage of a Firearms X 4
– Pointing a Firearm
– Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
– Assault with a Weapon
– Uttering Death Threats
 
He appeared in court in Dartmouth earlier this morning.
