Update: Bedford man faces numerous charges following pawn shop search, Lower Sackville, N.S.

RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) have charged a Bedford man with more than 45 charges following a search at Cash Traders Pawn Shop in Lower Sackville on September 19th, 2014.

RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) have charged a Bedford man with more than 45 charges following a search at Cash Traders Pawn Shop in Lower Sackville on September 19th, 2014.

As part of their ongoing investigation into recent Break and Enters in Lower Sackville, the RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) executed a search warrant at a pawn shop in Lower Sackville. A quantity of stolen jewelry had been seized, as well as electronics and other related items. RCMP also seized a loaded .38 calibre revolver, three shotguns, two rifles, assorted ammunition, a Conductive Energy Weapon (CEW) and two canisters of bear spray. An adult male was arrested at the scene and taken in custody.

Ghasson Najib Jason EL chater, age 52, Bedford will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on Wednesday, November 5th, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. for an arraignment on the following charges:

Firearm Trafficking x 5;
Possession of Firearm for the Purpose of Trafficking x 3;
Possession of Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition x 1;
Possession of Firearm Obtained by Crime x 6;
Possession of Weapon Obtained by Crime x 1;
Careless Storage of a Firearm x 6;
Contravention of Storage Regulations x 6;
Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose x 9;
Possession of Firearm Knowing it is Unauthorized x 6;
Possession of Prohibited Weapon Knowing it is Unauthorized x 1;
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x 2;
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime for the Purpose of Trafficking x 2; and
Obstruction of a Peace Officer x 1
