Update: Charges laid in Lower Sackville robbery, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) , N.S.

Two people have been charged after a robbery at the Needs Convenience Store on First Lake Drive in Lower Sackville. On September 2nd, 7:16 a.m., a lone man entered the store and approached the counter where he indicated he had a weapon and demanded money.

On September 2nd, 7:16 a.m., a lone man entered the store and approached the counter where he indicated he had a weapon and demanded money.

The male suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. No one was injured during this incident. The investigation revealed that a female was also involved in the robbery.

Lower Sackville RCMP arrested two people later in the day at a residence on Kipling Drive. A 18-year-old male and a 15-year old female were taken into custody without incident. Police seized a loaded handgun and a quantity of cigarettes.

The RCMP/HRP Integrated General Investigation Section (GIS) have charged Tyler Molloy, 18, with Robbery with a Firearm, Possession of Stolen Property and several other weapon related offences. He appeared in Dartmouth Provincial Court on September 4th. A 15-year-old female was remanded to custody until September 6th and also has been charged with Robbery with a Firearm, Possession of Stolen Property and Mischief.
