At approximately 7:30 pm., the RCMP in Tantallon responded to a motorcycle collision between Peggy’s Cove and West Dover. The 24-year-old male driver, from the Tantallon area, and sole occupant of the motorcycle, died at the scene.

He had been traveling toward Halifax on Prospect Rd. when the collision occurred. Preliminary investigation at the scene would indicate the driver lost control on a turn and drove into the ditch.
At the request of the family, the victim’s name will not be released.

The road was closed for several hours for investigational purposes. The accident remains under investigation.
