Update: Highway 103 reopens, Birchtown, N.S.

Shelburne County RCMP advise motorists that Highway 103 is now reopened to traffic.

At approximately 3:20 p.m. today, first responders attended a fatal two-vehicle head-on collision between two passenger cars.

Although the names of the victims are not bing released at this time, RCMP confirm that a 72-year-old man from Shelburne and a 80-year-old woman from Barrington died in the crash. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
