The 29-year-old female suspect turned herself into police in Eskasoni.

Last evening around 8:00 p.m., the female was arrested at the Eskasoni RCMP Detachment.

She remains in police custody and will be appearing in Sydney Provincial Court later today.

On June 8th at approximately 1:00 a.m., Indian Brook RCMP responded to a stabbing incident that occurred on Eagles Nest Road, Indian Brook. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 33 year-old Indian Brook man was stabbed at a residence and then transported to Colchester Hospital where he remains with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing with Indian Brook RCMP and the North East Nova Major Crime Unit.
