Update: Kings District RCMP charge youth after structure fire, Greenwood, N.S.

Kings District RCMP investigation leads to numerous charges for a local youth. At approximately 5:20 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21st, the Kingston fire department and the Kings District RCMP responded to a structure fire where an unoccupied house was extensively damaged.

At approximately 5:20 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21st, the Kingston fire department and the Kings District RCMP responded to a structure fire where an unoccupied house was extensively damaged.

No one was hurt in the blaze.

Investigation led to the arrest of a 17-year-old male youth. The youth appeared in Kentville Provincial Youth Court yesterday to answer to charges of Setting Fire to a Substance (two counts), Break and Enter to a Dwelling, Mischief, Resist/Obstruct a Peace Officer, Assaulting a Police Officer and Fail to Comply with Conditions.

The youth has been remanded and will appear today in Provincial Youth Court in Kentville.
