East Hants District RCMP have laid several charges against the 49-year-old man who barricaded himself inside his home last evening.

At approximately 12:30 p.m. yesterday, East Hants District RCMP and the RCMP Emergency Response Team responded to a report of threats being uttered by a 49-year-old man.

The investigation determined the man was also in possession of a firearm.

Kerry Sanford of Walton is facing the following charges:
Uttering Death Threat
Utter Threat to Kill an Animal
Careless Use of Firearm
Resisting Arrest
Unsafe Storage of Firearm
The accused was remanded into custody and will be appearing at Windsor Provincial Court on Monday March 16th, 2015 for a Show Cause Hearing. The investigation is continuing.
