In the overnight hours between November 11 and November 12, a hardware store in Upper Tantallon was the target of a break, enter and theft in which a large amount of merchandise was stolen. Among the items stolen were power tools and air tools.
Police would like to advise residents to keep this incident in mind should they be considering purchasing power or air tools secondhand or via the internet. The investigation is being conducted by the Integrated General Investigation Section (GIS).
Investigators believe it would have taken a significant amount of time for the thieves to remove this amount of merchandise from the store, and are asking the public for assistance to identify the person(s) responsible.
