Vehicle/pedestrian collision

Halifax Regional Police responded a report of a vehicle/pedestrian collision that occurred yesterday afternoon in Halifax.

 

At approximately 3:10 p.m., police responded to a vehicle/pedestrian collision at the intersection of Chebucto Road and Harvard Street. An 89-year-old woman was walking in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle. Through the investigation, officers determined that the vehicle stopped at the intersection was struck from behind by another vehicle, causing the front vehicle to strike the woman. The woman was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

 

The driver of the second vehicle was issued a summary offence ticket for following too closely.
