Victoria County RCMP are investigating a single vehicle crash that claimed the life of a 27-year-old man from Truro.

Shortly before 10 a.m., RCMP, Emergency Health Services and Big Bras D’Or Fire service responded to a report of a vehicle down an 80-foot embankment at the St.

Ann’s lookoff on Highway 105. Preliminary investigation determined that the vehicle left the roadway and crashed through the guardrail, coming to rest on its roof. The lone occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. RCMP are trying to determine when this crash occurred. There is no disruption to traffic.

An RCMP collision analyst has been called to the scene. Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal is also assisting RCMP at the scene. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
