Violent Robbery In upper #Sackville This Morning. 2 Arrested. 

Below is a release from the RCMP. This explains the heavy police presence around Kent this morning: 

“Halifax District RCMP is investigating a robbery with violence that occurred earlier this morning on Colgrove Ave.

 
At approximately 5:15 a.m., Halifax District RCMP and Halifax Regional Police responded to a call of a robbery with violence. Preliminary investigation determined that two armed men entered a residence and confronted the residents. The three residents, a 48-year-old man, a 44 year-old woman and a 13-year-old youth were allegedly tied up by the suspects who then stole items from the residence. The suspects then fled from the scene in a vehicle. The victims, who were not hurt during this incident, were able to free themselves to call police.
Subsequent investigation allowed police to intercept a suspect vehicle with two occupants in it. A 34-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were arrested in Lower Sackville without incident. They remain in custody and will be facing several charges. This was not a random act. The investigation is continuing
