The Halifax Regional Municipality has announced the opening of applications for its Outdoor Community Rink Program, according to a recent press release. The program provides grants of up to $1,000 to selected not-for-profit organizations. These grants are intended to help cover the insurance costs associated with running the rinks, making it easier for community groups to participate in this initiative.
Applications officially opened on Tuesday, Sept. 3, and will remain open until Friday, Oct. 4. The municipality is encouraging interested community groups to apply within this period to secure their participation.
