**** Halifax Water Media Release

Attention motorists and pedestrians, Halifax Water crews are currently on-site undertaking wastewater (sewer) system repairs on Akerley Boulevard near the intersection of Windmill Road.

This work will have the following traffic impacts:

:​ There will be no left turn from Magazine Hill onto Akerley Boulevard

:​ ​ No left turn from Akerley Boulevard onto Windmill Road

:​ ​ Akerley Boulevard to Windmill Road will be reduced one lane (curb lane) only.

It is anticipated work will be completed approximately 12midnight.

Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zone. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and expect delays. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.​

There will be no loss of water, wastewater or stormwater service.
