Weather-related delays, postponement for waste collection

  (Wednesday, November 23, 2011)  - Due to today's snow and poor road conditions, the collection of garbage, organics, and recyclables will be delayed and postponed for some areas of Halifax Regional Municipality.

 

(Wednesday, November 23, 2011)  – Due to today's snow and poor road conditions, the collection of garbage, organics, and recyclables will be delayed and postponed for some areas of Halifax Regional Municipality.
 
The areas with Wednesday collection where some delay and postponed collection will occur are as follows:
 
– Halifax (portions of Wednesday area – Fairview, Fairmount, West End) collection of green carts, leaves and recyclables
 
– Dartmouth (portions of Wednesday area) collection of garbage and recyclables
 
– Cole Harbour, Shearwater, Eastern Passage (portions of Wednesday area) collection of green carts, leaves and recyclables
 
– Western County with Wednesday collection (portions of Hatchet Lake, Brookside, White's Lake, Prospect Bay, Prospect, Terence Bay, etc.) collection of garbage
 
For portions of these areas noted above where collection has not occurred, collection is postponed until this Saturday, November 26, 2011.  Residents are reminded to place materials curbside by 7:00 a.m. on collection day to ensure service as collection times may vary.
  
Also, a portion of Beaver Bank and Sackville with organics collection today (Wednesday, November 23rd) will be delayed until tomorrow, Thursday, November 24, 2011.
