Weekend Wrap-up: July 13-14, 2013

1. Come celebrate Halifax’s 12th Annual Lebanese Festival! The four day festival has free admission and runs all weekend. Relax while enjoying Lebanese music and food, take in the exhibits and buy handcrafted works of art at the Artisan Gift Shop or visit Cafe Al-Arz – known for its Lebanese coffee, baklava, maamoul and namoura! 2.

 Enjoy a free show by the Bedford Brass Quintet with Brass on Board! as you ride the Alderney ferry across the harbour! Sit back and groove to a sunny mix of jazz, pops, folk, and clasical music as they serenade you during your 12-minute journey between Halifax and Dartmouth, various times on Saturday and Sunday! 3. Saturday is the last day of the Jazz Festival! There’s one more free concert down at the waterfront, all ages welcome! 4. A great day for a road trip down the south shore. Select streets will be shut down downtown Lunenburg for the street fest that has a special kids area! It’s also the Lunenburg Festival of Crafts July 12-14 at the Lunenburg War Memorial Arena! 5. Shakespeare by the Sea is back for another fantastic season and a great line up of performances – including Snow White! This weekend there are performances of Snow White at 1pm both Saturday and Sunday!
