1. Happy Pride! The library is hosting a Pride Week Family Storytime. Come celebrate family diversity with stories, songs and a craft. All families welcome. Sat at 10:30am at the Keshen Goodman Public Library!

This event sounds like a whole lot of fun for participants and spectators alike. Police Chase is an un-timed walk/run in support of Special Olympics NS. The chase will start in front of the Police Headquarters, 1975 Gottingen Street on Sunday at 9am. RCMP and municipal police, paired with Special Olympic athletes, will be given a small head start, then citizens will give chase.
3. As part of the Eureka Summer Reading Program, the public libraries are bursting with so many fun and exciting events this summer, that you’re bound to find something for everyone. From Minecraft parties and Reptile shows to Rainbow looming and Mad Science – you could literally go to a library every day for something new.
4. Head to Hatfield Farm on Sunday afternoon at 2pm for a family wagon ride. Join in the fun with an 30 minute wagon ride, followed by a treat!
5. Canada’s Parks Day is an annual event where thousands of people participate in fun, educational, family-oriented events in parks and Historic Sites across the country. Many activities highlight the important role that parks play in maintaining healthy and resilient ecosystems, protecting critical habitat for species-at-risk and contributing to human health and well-being. Lots of parks in Nova Scotia are participating in events that you won’t want to miss!
