Weekend Wrap-up: June 23-24

1. Ever filled an Orlando with food for families in need? Saturday is your chance! HRM Parent and O’Regan’s on Robie invite you to join us for a Free Family Fun Day! Bring the kids for a bouncy castle, face painting, BBQ (at 11am), treats, games and prizes for all ages! 2. Join in for a Battle on the High Seas! The pirate family fun begins at the Halifax Waterfront! Hoist the Jolly Roger and participate in a water gun fight! Duke it out for supremacy on the “high seas” (Halifax Harbour). 3. The Halifax Seaport has been transformed into a spectacular platform for the RBC Multicultural Festival . You’ll be amazed at the wonderful selection of foods from around the world, not to mention the entertainment (including renowned children’s entertainer Jake Chenier!), shopping pavillion and fun kids activities. 4. The East Coast Momma Collective is at it again! Their Summer Fair will showcase over 40 local Mompreneurs (including The Sparrow Tree with their ‘comets’). Everything from jewellery to clothing, to home decors to cupcakes. Come support our community and Buy Local! The fair will also feature an EAST COAST DADS BBQ!!! The ECMC prides itself on being kid friendly! Stroller-friendly aisles, children’s play area, lawn areas, breastfeeding pillows and covers, etc. Oh, and there are cupcakes! 5. Vetcetera Animal Hospital is holding its 12th Annual Charity Dog Wash and BBQ as part of the Bedford Days festivities at their clinic on Saturday. There will also be a Bake Sale and Mini Yard Sale, both back by popular demand, as well as a 50/50 draw!
