West End Grocery Store Robbed

On June 7th at 10:28 PM – Halifax Regional Police responded to an armed robbery that occurred at the Olivet Grocery located at 3083 Olivet St. in Halifax.
 The victim stated that two male parties with their faces partially concealed entered the store, brandished a sawed off firearm and demanded cash and cigarettes. The two parties then fled the store on foot. Responding officers flooded the area and a suspicious vehicle located on Bayers Rd was stopped. Two male parties fled from the vehicle, a female party remained in the car. Officers engaged in a foot chase and arrested both male subjects. A sawed off shotgun, cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash was recovered during the course of the investigation.
Two young offender males from the Halifax area and one adult female from the Dartmouth area will be charged with robbery and numerous weapon related offences. They are being held and will appear at the Halifax Provincial Court in the AM.
