I am excited to see that BookCamp Halifax is coming back to town. After a one year hiatus, the unconference for books and publishing is back for a third go round. Yay!
On Saturday Nov 9th, movers and shakers from the publishing, writing and bookselling worlds will be gathering at the Kybher Centre for Arts for a full day of passionate and creative discussions around all things reading and writing related.
It is a casual kind of conference, one which leaves room for topics and discussions to arise organically as the day progresses.
Halifax Public Libraries will be there hosting a session on library research for writers, as well as leading a discussion on how to get your book into the library collection. Drop by and say hello.
A couple of the other planned sessions of note are What Editors Do/Why You Need One, and The “Media” in Social Media. The keynote speaker will be Sean Cranbury of Books on the Radio fame.
