At 7:25 PM members of the Halifax Regional Police responded to a property damage in progress complaint at the “Uncommon Grounds” coffee shop located at the Public Gardens – 5701 Spring Garden Rd.
in Halifax. The witness stated that two male subjects had smashed out windows at the store and then smashed a large public gardens planter, the subjects were then seen fleeing the area. Several Central division patrol officers responded to the scene, they contained – then searched the immediate area. The two subjects were located on South Park St just south of Spring Garden Rd,. They were arrested and taken into custody without incident.
A 15 year old male from the Halifax area has been charged with public mischief, he has been released and will be appearing in court at a later date.
