Windsor District RCMP investigate break and enter, Hantsport, N.S.

Windsor District RCMP is asking for the public’s help to help solve a break and enter to a business.

At approximately 9:10 p.m. on July 14, 2015, Windsor RCMP responded to a break, enter and theft at the Hantsport Home Hardware on Main St.

Preliminary investigation determined a lock was cut on a fence gate, attached to the compound beside the store. The suspects stole a 27 ton log splitter, an electronic cement mixer and a wheelbarrow valued at over $2800.

The suspects drove a late model white Chevrolet work van with rear windows.

Suspect #1 is described as a white male, approximately 5’7′ with a medium build. He was wearing a light coloured t-shirt, light coloured work jacket, light coloured jeans and had a shaved head.

Suspect #2 is described as a white male, approximately 5’9′ with a slim build. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, shorts and had very short hair.

Windsor District RCMP is asking anyone who may have witnessed this crime, or has information about this crime, to contact the RCMP non-emergency line at (902) 798-2207 or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), texting TIP202 + your message to ‘CRIMES’ (274637) or using Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca. Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers could qualify for a cash reward of $50 – $2000.
