Windsor District RCMP investigate indecent act, Windsor, N.S.

Windsor District RCMP have charged a 63-year-old man in relation to an indecent act. On Wednesday, October 22nd at approximately 8:40 p.m., Windsor RCMP were notified that an adult male had exposed himself to a young child in a public place in the Town of Windsor.

On Wednesday, October 22nd at approximately 8:40 p.m., Windsor RCMP were notified that an adult male had exposed himself to a young child in a public place in the Town of Windsor.

Preliminary investigation determined the man had attempted to convince a young child to enter a room where he was working. When the child refused, he pulled his pants down exposing himself. Subsequent investigation allowed RCMP to locate the man later in the evening at his home. He was arrested without incident and taken into custody.

Garrett Frederick Smith, a 63-year-old male resident of Windsor, is being charged with Indecent Act and Invitation to Sexual Touching. He has been released on a Promise to Appear and Undertaking with strict conditions to stay away from children under the age of 16 years. He is scheduled to appear in court on December 2nd, 2014 in Windsor Provincial Court.
