Windsor RCMP investigate Double Fatal Collision, Ardoise, N.S.

Windsor RCMP is investigating a single vehicle collision that killed two people in Hants County.

At approximately 1:35 a.m., RCMP officers on patrol on Highway 1 were flagged down by a man indicating he was at the scene of a motor vehicle collision.

Mount Uniacke and Brooklyn Volunteer Fire Departments and Emergency Health Services also responded to assist RCMP at the scene. Preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle with four occupants had left the roadway, clipped a power pole and overturned into the ditch.

The 19-year-old male driver and a 16-year-old female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. A 19-year-old male passenger was transported by ambulance to the QEII hospital with non life-threatening injuries while another 16-year-old female passenger was taken by ambulance to the Hants Community Hospital with non life threatening injuries. She was treated and later released.

A collision Reconstuctionist attended the scene. The cause of the crash has not been determined and the investigation is continuing.
