Windsor Rural RCMP investigating serious collision

Windsor Rural RCMP is investigating a motor vehicle collision that occurred yesterday in Newport Corner.

At approximately 10:43 a.m., RCMP responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and a garbage truck. The driver of the garbage truck was uninjured. The driver of the motorcycle, a 21-year-old man from Three Mile Plains, was transported to the QEII Hospital with life-threatening injuries but remains in stable condition.

The intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 215 was closed to traffic for several hours.

The Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Education were called to the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
