Woman airlifted to hospital after serious crash

RCMP release:

Kings District RCMP is investigating a serious vehicle crash that occurred in Lake Paul.

Yesterday, at approximately 9:20 a.m., Kings District RCMP, fire and EHS, responded to a report of a crash on Aylesford Rd. RCMP officers learned that a Toyota Yaris was traveling north, negotiating a curve, when it left the roadway and came to rest in the ditch.

The driver and lone occupant, a 33-year-old Pleasantville woman, suffered life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to hospital by LifeFlight. 

A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Aylesford Rd. was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
