This morning at approximately 10:30 a.m. Colchester County RCMP responded to a collision between a truck and a car on Hwy. 1 (Stewiacke Rd.) in Stewiacke. EHS and the Stewiacke Fire Department also responded.

The driver of the car, a 35-year-old woman from Dartmouth, was air lifted to QEII and the passenger of the car was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing. An RCMP Collision Analyst is on scene and the intersection of Hwy. 1 and Alton Rd. remains closed. Traffic is being diverted.
