Woman arrested after two overnight arsons in Dartmouth

On May 31st at 1149pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a fire in the lobby of an apartment building in the 200 block of Victoria Rd, Dartmouth.​ The fire was extinguished by a resident when it was discovered.​

A suspect description was obtained during the investigation by officers.

On June 1st, 2019 at 1236am Halifax Regional Police responded along with Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency to the 100 block of Albro Lake Rd, Dartmouth.​

A fire had been reported in the lobby of an apartment building and in front of an apartment door.​ The fire was quickly extinguished.​

No residents were displaced and damage was minimal. ​

Investigation revealed that the fire had been intentionally set and that the person responsible was of the same description as that of the suspect from the fire the Victoria Rd fire.​ ​

A 44 year old woman was arrested in the area and will face charges of charges of arson and breech of probation.​ She will appear in court at a later date.
